Jean Prounis’ namesake jewelry collection, Prounis, serves as a memento to carry on her family lineage through the creation of treasured memories and objects. Each piece from her collection is handmade in her New York studio using recycled 22-karat gold and responsible fine gems. Jean was introduced to 22-karat gold while taking ancient goldsmithing classes at Cecelia Bauer Studio where Jean completely fell in love with 22-karat’s rich, buttery texture. Jean’s signature collection made its debut in October 2017. Her process remains true to ancient goldsmithing traditions in which she utilizes techniques such as granulation, chain making, and bezel setting cabochons to create modern day treasures, made today as yesterday. Since Prounis’ debut, the collection has garnered press from Vogue, WWD, Harper’s Bazaar, WSJ Magazine, and many more.
